Mayo fares well in pentathlon at Central Multi Meet

Results

PELLA, Iowa - Lily Mayo '28, representing the Grinnell College women's track and field team, put her versatility on display with a strong finish in the pentathlon at the Central College Winter Multi Meet Friday.

Mayo finished with a score of 2,053, the second-best tally in program history. She collected the most points in the long jump, scoring 546 with a leap of 4.95 meters. She added 540 points in the 60-meter hurdles (10.98 seconds), 523 in the high jump (1.41 meters) and 444 in the shot put (8.69 meters). She did not score in the 800.
