Fadden sprints to finals in both 60, 200 at NCAA D-III Indoor Nationals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Grinnell College's Lucas Fadden '26 kept his stellar indoor track and field season alive Friday, qualifying for the finals in both the 60- and 200-meter dashes at the NCAA Division III Championships.


Fadden ran the sixth-fastest 60 prelim time at the Birmingham CrossPlex, sprinting to the finish line in 6.78 seconds to earn runner-up honors in his heat. He had the sixth-fastest prelim time of 19 competitors.

He followed that up by winning his heat in the 200 in 21.29, breaking his school record by of 21.78 from earlier this season. That time ranked fifth of 20 competitors.

The finals in both events are slated for Saturday afternoon. Fadden is already a three-time All-American, having done so in the 100 outdoors in 2024 and 100 and 200 outdoors last year.
