Grinnell College’s Ben Tyler ’14 (Shorewood, Wis./Shorewood) has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week.

Tyler finished ninth in a 491-runner field at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College Friday. Tyler had a time of 25:35.3 on the 8-kilometer Saukie Valley Course in Rock Island, Ill., as Grinnell finished fourth among 35 teams. Tyler’s time is a season-best and ranks second in the MWC.

He is the third Pioneer to earn MWC Performer of the Week honors this season, joining Frank Canady ’14 and Sarah Burnell ’14.
