Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's soccer team dominated the shots battle in Saturday's season-opening contest with Coe College.

However, by the time it was finished, the Pioneers had to settle for a 0-0 tie at Springer Field.

Grinnell outshot the visitors 14-5, including 7-2 in the shots on goal department. Grinnell keepers Jordan Young '14 and Katy Oldach '16 combined on the shutout, with Young getting two saves in the process.

Abby Jaeger '14 had five shots for Grinnell, while Patty Murphy-Geiss '14 added three and Mackenzie Shanahan '14 two. Getting one shot each were Rachel Weinstein '13, Elle Silverman '15, Julia Sauerhaft '15 and Andie Semlow '16.

Lauren Lee recorded the shutout for Coe.

Grinnell is back in action Wednesday with a game at Simpson College. Action at Indianola starts at 7:30 p.m.
