Pioneer women's soccer team falls to unbeaten Augsburg

Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Unbeaten Augsburg College got out to a 2-0 lead on its way to defeating the Grinnell College women's soccer team 4-0 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

The winners, who improved to 4-0, got goals from four different players and won the shots battle 20-7.

Nicole Sipfle '13 and Andie Semlow '16 had two shots apiece for the Pioneers, who are now 0-2-1. Eva Smith '16, Eden Marek '15 and Maggie Mamantov '16 all had one shot. The Pioneers had two shots on goal, one by Mamantov and the other by Semlow.

Jordan Young '14 and Katy Oldach '16 each worked a half at keeper for Grinnell, both giving up a pair of goals. Young had three saves and Oldach four.

Grinnell is back in action Sunday with a game against Buena Vista University at Storm Lake. Action begins at 3 p.m.
