Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's soccer team lost a hard-fought 1-0 Midwest Conference contest to Ripon College Saturday at Springer Field.

The match was scoreless at halftime before Ripon scored the game-winner in the 56th minute. Grinnell is now 5-2-1 in the MWC and 9-5-1 overall, while the Red Hawks moved to 4-2-1 in the league and 8-5-1 in all contests.

Grinnell outshot Ripon 13-8, with Patty Murphy-Geiss '14 taking four shots for Grinnell, Kristen Stacey '16 getting three and Hannah Safter '14 taking two.

Grinnell keeper Jordan Young '14 made five saves.

The Pioneers step out of MWC play Tuesday when Simpson College visits Springer Field. The contest begins at 3 p.m.
