Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – Preseason Midwest Conference favorite Lake Forest College got out to a 2-0 halftime lead on its way to a 3-0 victory over Grinnell College's women's soccer squad Saturday at Springer Field.

Holly Lesperance, Kyle Chavarria and Nina Perkkio all scored for the Foresters, who are 1-0 in the league and 6-2 in all contests.

Lake Forest also won the shots battle 10-7. For Grinnell, Elle Silverman '15 and Pauline Zheng '14 had two shots apiece while Eden Marek '15, Abby Jaeger '14 and Sarah Jensen '15 took one each.

Jordan Young '14 worked the first half at keeper for Grinnell and had two saves, while Katy Oldach '16 had one in the second half.

Grinnell, 1-1 in the league and 4-3 in all contests, entertains Carroll University Sunday at Springer Field. Action begins at 11 a.m.
