Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Grinnell College women's soccer team gave a great battle to unbeaten Lake Forest College Saturday afternoon, but in the end fell 2-1 in Midwest Conference action.
 
The Foresters, 4-0 in the MWC and 12-0 overall, grabbed a 2-0 halftime lead. Lilyrose Weiss '18 scored in the 50th minute for Grinnell on an assist by Kristen Stacey '16 to slice the lead to 2-1.
 
Grinnell managed nine shots in the game, with Weiss taking three and Kitt Richards '18 two.
 
Keeper Katy Oldach '16 recorded nine saves on the day for the Pioneers, who are 3-1 in the league and 6-5 overall, play at Carroll University on Sunday.
