Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's soccer team just keeps gaining steam as the 2014 season continues.
The Pioneers blanked Cornell College 1-0 in a key Midwest Conference contest Sunday afternoon at Springer Field to remain perfect in league play at 3-0.
Pioneers' coach
Kirsten Russell, who coached Cornell the previous three seasons before coming to Grinnell this summer, saw her team improve to 6-4 overall while posting its third shutout in as many tries in MWC play.
The Rams, who also entered the contest unbeaten in the league and were averaging five goals a contest, are now 2-1 in the MWC and 6-3-1 overall.
The lone goal of the contest came in the 14th minute by
Dabney Hofammann '15, her second score of the year. Assists went to

Katy Oldach '16 made 10 saves as Grinnell earned its fourth shutout of the season. Silverman,
