Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's women's soccer team battled on even terms with Central College for a good portion of Wednesday's contest, but the unbeaten Dutch came away with a 4-0 victory at Springer Field.
 
It was a scoreless tie until the 22nd minute when the Dutch found the back of the net. It appeared it would go into a halftime a 1-0 game, but the visitors scored in the waning minutes and added two more goals in the second half.
 
Grinnell had some good chances to score, getting off nine shots with five on goal. Francesca Varias '18 took three shots, all on goal, and Jordan Maddaus '19 had three shots with one on goal. Abigail Hellweg '19, Quinn Berleman-Paul '21 and Esmé Kayim-Yanko '21 had the other shots.
 
Regan Kasprak '19 played the first 68 minutes at keeper and had six saves. Elizabeth Hunt '21 finished off the game and made four stops.
 
Central is now 3-0, while the Pioneers moved to 1-2. Grinnell plays at Crown College Saturday afternoon.
