GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's
Lily Perrin '25 made the most of the final weekend of the fall regular season, earning the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor today.
Perrin, from Salina, Kan. (Sacred Heart), celebrated her 21
st birthday weekend in victorious fashion while helping Grinnell to its 19
th MWC title. Perrin posted three victories at No. 1 doubles, teaming with
Ioanna Giannakou '24 to decisions of 8-0 against a duo from Ripon College and 8-1 against Cornell College, and joining
Paige Sargent '27 in an 8-0 victory versus Lawrence University.
Perrin added a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles against Ripon and 6-0, 6-3 at the second spot versus Lawrence. As a team, Grinnell won all three duals 9-0 while stretching its unbeaten streak against MWC teams to 37 matches dating back to the 2018-19 season.
