GRINNELL, Iowa – After a record-setting performance, Grinnell College's
Lily Perrin '25 has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Performer of the Week.
Perrin, from Salina, Kan. (Sacred Heart), went a perfect 4-0 at the top spot while tying Grinnell's school record for career doubles victories Saturday. Perrin, who now has 71 career doubles wins, only dropped six games in four matches. Against Ripon College, Perrin blanked her foe at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 and teamed with
Kayla Surpless '28 to win 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. Perrin added a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles against Lawrence University and 6-1 decision with
Keira Healy '28 at No. 1 doubles.
Grinnell beat both foes 7-0 to stretch its winning streak against MWC teams to 44, dating back to 2018-19. Of those wins, 34 have been by shutout. Perrin now has 117 total victories in her career, 10
th all-time at Grinnell.
