MWC Softball Release

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College, which has enjoyed a recent string of success, is expected to again be in the mix of things in the Midwest Conference this season.
 
The Pioneers were picked second in the preseason poll of MW coaches, finishing only behind Lake Forest College in the nine-team league. Grinnell received two first-place votes and 56 points.
 
Lake Forest, which received six first-place votes, had 62 points and Illinois College was slated third with 50 points and one first-place vote. Rounding out the top five are Cornell College (46) and Monmouth College (30).
