GC women's track and field team sees plenty of movement on leader board

ATLANTA, Ga. - Grinnell College's women's track and field team celebrated plenty of movement on the program's all-time top 10 leaderboard Saturday at the Emory Spring Break Classic.


The 4x100-meter relay team of Klaire Thompson '27, Ava Taylor '25, Maile Crowe '25 and Rajanea Landers '28 finished 14th in 50.57 seconds. That time ranks fifth in program history.

Kylie Galowitz '26 was eighth in the shot put with a toss of 11.96 meters, sixth all-time. Galowitz also placed ninth in the discus at 35.65 meters, while Landers' effort of 4.87 meters in the long jump ranks eighth all-time.

Thompson, Taylor, Crowe and Landers were seventh in the 4x200 relay in 1:47.76 and Caroline Mallette '28 placed 21st in the 30000 in 12:14.26.

The Pioneers travel to Pella next Saturday for the Dutch Invite.
